Why Use Aluminium, especially in Namibia?

Namibia is a very warm and dry country. And aluminium windows and doors remain a popular choice. Although aluminium conducts heat and cold more easily than wood or vinyl, more energy-efficient aluminium frames incorporate thermal breaks that prevent heat or cold from being conducted through the frame. Aluminium windows and doors frames also allows for the use of insulating glass. Insulating consist of two panes of glass separated by an insulting air space. The insulating value maybe increased by filling the air apace with an inert gas.

Insulating glass also offers better protection again noise from outside and reduce condensation on the interior pane. While old aluminium products were usually unpainted, today’s aluminium windows and doors are finished with a durable electrostatic paint process in a variety of colors for low maintenance and a traditional appearance.
